Bike Trail
New Ulm can now boast its own contribution to Minnesota's renowned paved bike trail system. Minnesota has more miles of paved trails than any other state and with the completion of PHASE ONE in 2004, New Ulm now offers 5 more miles to an outstanding scenic ride thru America's Heartland!
The New Ulm Bike Trail is excellent for biking, walking, in-line skating, or an invigorating run. Its path follows the railroad bed, meandering through town along the beautiful Minnesota River Valley. This trail offers secluded natural habitat in the middle of the City. Don't be surprised if you see deer, rabbits and a variety of birds. It is reminiscent of an old-fashioned train ride with a glimpse into the great rural American backyard.
The New Ulm Bike Trail affords yet another recreational opportunity, along with gorgeous views, for visitors to enjoy in the Southern Minnesota Region.
