“The Highlights”

We know that not everyone has the time to “see it all” so this itinerary will list “must see” places that are essential to the New Ulm experience:

Start with the Hermann Monument, a 102 foot memorial to an ancient German hero offering a marvelous view of the Minnesota River valley from the top (May-Oct.).    

Catch the 45-foot tall Glockenspiel chime and watch the mechanical figures  perform at 12-3-5pm every day.    

Visit the August Schell Brewery for either a tour and tasting or visit to their  wonderful gardens and grounds with free-roving peacock!

Enjoy a German meal at a local restaurant. Many will offer some German menu  items but the 20^th Street Grill, Otto’s Feierhaus and The Kaiserhoff have the most.
