Chamber Priorities

1. MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - Focus on efforts to retain and recruit members through communications, evaluation and quantification of benefits, and member recognition.
2. PUBLIC POLICY - Determine member concerns for the purpose of informational meetings and advocating on their behalf (when deemed appropriate) in federal, state, and local arenas.
3. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - Expand Workforce Development efforts to include attracting and retaining young families; foster the initiatives arising from the Community-wide Retreat, including a healthy community.
4. RETAIL DEVELOPMENT - Look for ways to improve existing programs such as SmartTown and Chamber Dollars, and to increase activity downtown through signage and the creation of a more aesthetic and lively experience.
5. TOURISM - Increase tourism by supporting local events and attractions; participating in a new, comprehensive marketing plan; and increasing the effectiveness of our website.
6. ADMINISTRATIVE/OPERATIONS - Ensure program effectiveness through proper staff assignments and resources, and implement a board committee structure to address policies and strategic goals.
