Chamber of Commerce Priorities
1. Workforce Development
-- Continue our focus on ensuring a qualified workforce.
-- Determine our role in supporting area K-12 schools.
-- Develop professional networking and placements programs to recruit and retain professionals
and other workers in our community.
2. Membership
-- Provide improved communication with our members.
-- Improve Chamber advocacy by keeping members informed on legislative and local issues and
being prepared to support those of merit.
-- Implement identified improvements to member benefits.
3. Business Community
-- Explore needs and opportunities through a Community-wide Retreat, Small-business Roundtables,
Grow Minnesota, and the New Ulm Retail Economic Development Committee.
-- Continue to promote networking opportunities for our Chamber members and their employees.
-- Assist businesses with health-care affordability efforts through wellness initiatives and education
on cooperative cost control options.
