DNR, Scott Roemhildt

Scott Roemhildt is the new Southern Regional Manager for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and has become a new member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. The Willkommen committee recently stopped by to congratulate Scott and welcome him to the Chamber.  The DNR in Minnesota is divided into four regions, and the headquarters for the Southern Region are right here in New Ulm, located just south of the Cottonwood River on Highway 15.  Scott oversees operations in 32 counties.  He supervises all six divisions of the DNR: Ecological & Water Resources, Enforcement, Fish & Wildlife, Forestry, Land & Minerals, and Parks & Trails.  The New Ulm office employs 55 people.  One of the things Scott stressed to the Willkommen Committee is that the office in New Ulm is a resource for everyone.  He encourages the public to come out and walk the trails and get information from the DNR experts employed here.  There is also a meeting room that can be reserved free of charge (call 507-359-6000 for availability).  Welcome, Scott!
