Joni’s Restaurant & Catering, located at 24 N Minnesota St in Downtown New Ulm, has remodeled, and the Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped by to check it out.  The remodel included new floors and new paint, and Joni Ahlness, owner and namesake of Joni’s, told the committee they only had to be closed for four days during the renovations.  Design Home Center did the flooring, and Joni said she has gotten lots of compliments from customers.  Joni’s Restaurant employs 12 people, and more work for the catering side of the business.  Joni has owned this restaurant for 16 years, and said she originally wanted to be open evening, but was too busy with catering.  Joni’s is open until 2pm 7 days a week.  Stop by and see the remodel!  Congratulations!
