Darcy Lund is the new director at First Choice Pregnancy Services, and the Willkommen Committee recently stopped by to congratulate her and learn more about this organization.  First Choice Pregnancy Services, located at 1223 S Broadway St, is a private non-profit that provides free and confidential services to women facing unplanned pregnancies.  Clients come primarily from Brown County and the surrounding area, but there are no geographic restrictions. Services include: free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, material resources, information and referrals. They offer life coaching and new parent lessons. As incentive to take part in lessons and prenatal care, parents can earn “Mommy Money” or “Baby Bucks” which they can redeem for items such as cribs and infant carriers.

Darcy, who had served on the First Choice Pregnancy Services Board for 2.5 years, started as director in July. She is gearing up for the annual Hero for Life Banquet Fundraiser coming up on September 19th at the New Ulm Event Center.
