New Ulm ranked as being one of the safest cities in Minnesota!

Lendedu.com recently ranked the 100 safest cities in each state and New Ulm made the Minnesota list! Minnesota contains 853 cities, according to the League of Minnesota Cities. New Ulm ranked #27, putting our town in the top 3% of all Minnesota cities! The article explains how they came up with the lists, “using licensed data, we gathered the total crime risk score for every single town in the country. This score represents the combined risk of rape, murder, assault, robbery, burglary, larceny, and vehicle theft compared to the national average of 100.” The lower the score, the safer the city. New Ulm had a crime risk score of 39, 61 points below the national average! 

There are a lot of factors that go into deciding where to live like education, health care and safety. New Ulm has high ranking public and private schools to choose from, along with Martin Luther College on top of the hill. Thanks to the 5-star rated New Ulm Medical Center and the Heart of New Ulm project, New Ulm has become a community that supports a culture of wellness and helps people make healthier choices where they live, learn, work and play.
