Popular New Ulm B&B Changes Hands
deutsche strasse b&B

Last week, the popular Deutsche Strasse Bed and Breakfast changed hands. Congratulations to Gary and Ramona Sonnenberg on 20 successful years owning the Deutsche Strasse Bed and Breakfast! Gary and Ramona started the first B&B in New Ulm and operated it for 20 years. The idea came to the Sonnenbergs while they were relocating to New Ulm and house hunting. Last week they sold the B&B to Vicki McCauley and David Crinklaw from Arizona.

Mayor Buessman declared Monday August 28th Gary and Ramona Sonnenberg Day! We appreciate all the Sonnenbergs have done for the town of New Ulm and wish them a joyful retirement!

In 2014, The Deutsche Strasse received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and was selected the Best Historic B&B in Minnesota by the Officially Best Of and was featured on the Discovery Channel! New Owners Vicki and David are excited to continue the strong legacy of the Deutsche Strasse B&B. After just one week in operation, they say they are enjoying meeting their guests and making new friends. The historic 1884 home is just four blocks from the specialty shops, restaurants, and attractions of downtown.  All rooms have private baths and complimentary evening beverages and light snacks are included in room reservations, as well as the four-course breakfast in the morning.

Check out their website and book your stay soon!  And don’t forget our other fabulous B&B: Bingham Hall Bed & Breakfast.

New Ulm has lodging options to satisfy everyone.  See full list of lodging here.
