George Wendt “Norm” is coming to Oktoberfest

Norm!  George Wendt, who played the role of Norm in the popular TV sitcom Cheers is coming to New Ulm’s Oktoberfest celebration!  He will be here Oct 14-15 and we have a whole schedule of appearances to give you lots of opportunities to get your signatures and photos taken.  This isn’t George’s first time to New Ulm’s Oktoberfest.  He came back in 2011, but he loved it so much, he’s coming back!  George will be selling and signing copies of his book Drinking with George: A Barstool Professional’s Guide to Beer.  What better place to sell a book about beer than at our nationally-recognized beer festival?!  Here’s the schedule of where to find George Wendt when he is in town:

 

Friday, October 14

11:00 am – Lamplighter Family Sports Bar, 214 N Minnesota St

11:30 am – Kaiserhoff, 221 N Minnesota St

12:00 pm – Turner Hall, 102 S State St

1:00 pm – Country Club, 1 Golf Drive

1:30 pm – Rodney’s Tavern, 6 S Minnesota St

2:00 pm – B & L Bar, 15 N Minnesota St

2:30 pm – American Legion, 13 S Minnesota St

3:00 pm – Mowan’s Bar, 22 N Minnesota St

3:30 pm – Pub and Patio, 225 N Minnesota St

6:00 pm – Oktoberfest at Best Western Plus, 2101 S Broadway St

 

Saturday, October 15

11:00 am – Downtown Oktoberfest – Kick off the Downtown Oktoberfest Celebration with an official toast at 11am!  George will be signing books at the Chamber’s Oktoberfest until 2:30 pm.

3:00 pm – Schell’s Brewery Oktoberfest – sign books at the brewery until 5 pm.

5:30 pm – Best Western’s Oktoberfest – sign books throughout the evening.
